Following these five steps will help you get the best price for your property in the fastest time.
1. Interview more than one agent to get a range of opinions on the value of your home.
2. Apply a critical eye to your property. Repair or replace all the things you never got around to correcting because those are the things a buyer will spot immediately. To a buyer, they mean a price reduction.
3. Eliminate clutter. People want to see the property, not your stuff. Good staging cannot be underestimated.
4. Be realistic about your asking price. Don’t get your heart set on a price and “try it for a few months.” After a few months yours is an aged listing.
